Not good at updating blogs...

Well, I am not good at updating blogs.

Let me give a brief run down of what happened since rainy Cartagena. First the weather got better. We went to the beach. Then we left Colombia...adios!

Next stop was Europe. Spain. Madrid, then headed into Andalusia and the great cities of Cordoba, Seville and Granada (in that order). Europe is a hell of a place, dripping with culture and in the case of Spain, legs of pigs, delicious pigs. In Andalusia, got the full taste of Islamic Spain and the amazing impact it left. Islamic art is very good.

Left Spain by boat...across the Straits of Gibraltar to Morocco. A brief moment in Tangiers before being plunged into the insanity of the medina in Fez. Morocco has been one of the most jolting experiences so far, completely outside my expectation/experience/comfort at times/, and etc. In Morocco, spent some time in Fez, also visited Meknes, Volubilis and Moulay Idriss. Left here and went on to Marrakech. From here did a desert trek into the Sahara near Zagora and also stopped in the frequently filmed Berber village of Ait Benhaddou. Left Marrakech and flew to Barcelona. Ah back to Europe.

Barcelona, got a bit of a sicky yuck yuck, but still saw a bunch of Gaudi. On a trip of awesome sites, the Sagrada Familia gave me one of the biggest Holy Jesus moments.

Left Spain for France where we have been until just today. Did Carcassonne with its Ladyhawke ramparts. Then up to Paris... My second or third home? Got a car and drove through Normandy and Brittany, saw Mont St Michel and then spent Christmas with great friends. Returned back to Paris, had a visa issue for India... so made the decision to scrap Italy and do more of France (timing issue). Left Paris and headed to Lyon then to Avignon and finally spending the New Year in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Then back to Paris, museums and wine and cheese. Flying tonight to Greece. Got it? From Greece, heading to Turkey, Dubai, India and then home?

Might try and write some random posts in more detail about some of the adventures/impressions, but who knows?
